Michael Alan Snyder

Michael Alan Snyder, 57, of  Kane, died Nov. 11, 2012, of an accidental drowning when the canoe he was in tipped over at the Kinzua Reservoir while he was fishing with his wife who also drowned in the accident.
Born April 23, 1955, in Clearfield County, he was a son of Charles H. and Dores Holt Snyder Sr. On Nov. 12, 1999, in Olmsted County in Minnesota,  he married Terry Wegman who died  with him in the accident.
Mr. Snyder was the owner of Snyder Contracting.
\He  was a member of the VFW Lodge #1132 in Kane and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He also was a NASCAR fan.
Surviving are his mother Dores Snyder of Kane; two daughters, Janelle Russell of Kane and Nicole Berry of Norfolk, Va.; a granddaughter, Ella Grace Russell of Kane; two brothers, Charles Snyder and Steven Snyder, both of Kane; two sisters, Sharon Schlecher of Kane and Beth Ann Ormsby in England; and three stepchildren in Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Terry.
Friends and family may attend a memorial service for Mike and Terry Snyder at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, with Rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the Mt. Jewett/Kushequa United Methodist Churches, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to any of the organizations who aided in the recovery of Mike and Terry's remains.
