Mildred C.Â (Monagan) Emanuelson, 98, of Hudson, N.H., passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.
Mildred was born in Rew City on May 1, 1913, a daughter of the late Dr. William and Bessie (Hopkins) Monagan.
She was the widow of the late Axel Emanuelson. Mildred was a resident of Kane for more than 30 years moving to New Hampshire in 1978 when she retired from Stackpole Carbon Company.Â
Mildred was a longtime resident of Hudson.Â She was a former tutor at the Adult Learning Center and a Senior Companion at Greenbriar Healthcare. In July 2011, Mildred was presented with the Boston Post Cane, recognizing her as the oldest living resident by the Hudson, N.H. Historical Society.
She was predeceased by a son, William Emanuelson and a sister, Hazel Lattimore. Mildred is survived by three grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey and Dianne Emanuelson of Husdon, N.H., Chris and Michelle Emanuelson of Bennington, N.H. and Steven and Kimberly Burrows of Nashua, N.H.; nine great-grandchildren, Allen Emanuelson, Matthew Emanuelson, Samantha Emanuelson, Patrick Emanuelson, Gregory Emanuelson, Nathan Emanuelson, Melody Burrows, Cadence Burrows and Harmony Burrows; one great-great-grandchild, Aiden Emanuelson; two nieces, Marlene Ide of Arizona and David Cross and his wife Shela of Kentucky; and also several cousins.
Visiting hours were held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 from 4 p.m. toÂ 8 p.m. at the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St. Nashua, N.H. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, Sept. 9, 2011. Burial followed in the St. Louis Cemetery.
