Mrs. Doris C. Pastrick

Mrs. Doris C. Pastrick, 90, died at 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 30, 2010 at Warren General Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born May 6, 1920 in Sheffield to the late Elmer and Esther Lindgren Nelson.
On Sept. 27, 1941 in Sheffield, she married Joseph Pastrick Sr., who preceded her in death.
Doris was a lifelong resident of Sheffield. She worked at New Process Company and was an owner/operator of the “Whirl” in Ludlow with her husband Joe. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and a life member of Catholic Daughters of America. Some of her great enjoyments were knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting and sewing. Doris created many wonderful items which she distributed to friends and family.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Pastrick and wife Linda of Sheffield; a daughter, Mary Jo Eckstrom and husband Kenneth of Sheffield; a brother, Gerard A. Nelson of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Emory Eckstrom and wife Miranda, Joyce Johnson and husband Darrell, and Anne Eckstrom; a great-granddaughter, Reagan; and three nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph Pastrick Jr.; and a great-grandson, Aidan.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4., with the Rev. Fr. Steven Collins, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Sheffield.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.
The Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
