MT. JEWETT – Non-profit organizations and groups in Mt. Jewett are invited to apply for a share of the funds raised for a state-sanctioned Charter School in the borough.
Chuck Paar, president of the Mt. Jewett Borough Council, said Monday that "just under" $14,000 remains in the treasury for the Mt. Jewett Charter School Coalition.
Speaking at a council meeting at the borough building garage, Paar said organizations are encouraged to send "a formal letter" to seek a share of the funds. He said letters should go to Rhonda Chilson, secretary-treasurer of the Coalition. He did not give her address, but letters dropped off at the borough building will go to Chilson.
