Nancy L. Farr

Nancy L. Farr, 74, of 160 East Ave., Johnsonburg, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Kane following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 14, 1938 in Ludlow, daughter of the late Anthony (Tony) and Fannie Visco Raymondo. She married George J. Farr on March 2, 1957; he survives.
She resided in the community for 55 years. She graduated from Kane High School in 1956. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, and loved homemaking and family life.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, George L. Farr Jr. and his wife Mandy of Beloit, Wis.; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Shambido and her husband Dan of Olean, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Rachel, Georgia and Reed Farr, and Sarah and Nicholas (Nick) Shambido; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister at birth and a brother, Paul Raymondo.
Funeral services for Nancy L. Farr will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. Officiating will be the Rev. David Wilson, pastor. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Friday, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.
