New 'Welcome To Kane' signs greet visitors

June 21, 2012

The Kane Rotary Club has donated $1,000 for the "Welcome To Kane" sign project. Taking part in the check presentation at one of the "Welcome" signs are Jim Greville (right), a representative of the Rotary Club; and Erin Vassallo (left), executive director of the Kane Area Development Center (KADC). The sign project is organized by the KADC, which includes the Kane Chamber of Commerce.

The installation of five new “Welcome To Kane” signs began in March and can now be enjoyed when entering Kane Northbound on 321 near Kane High school, Eastbound on Route 6 near the Kane Community Hospital, Westbound on Route 6 near Kane View Motel, Southbound on Route 321 near Glenwood Park or when entering Kane Northbound on Route 66 across from Steve Jerman Memorial Park.
This project was funded by local organizations, businesses and individuals. The signs were designed and hand-crafted by Sign Design of Westline.
