Nora Lynn Johnson Sovik

Nora Lynn Johnson Sovik, 61, of Baltimore, Md., died Feb. 29, 2012, at Catonsville Commons under the care of Gilchrist Hospice Care after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 27, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Ruth L. and Donald H. Johnson of Kane.
She was married to Karl Sovik of Baltimore for 20 years. Nora was employed as a bank teller, at The House of Siam Restaurant, and most recently at Shoppers Food Market in Catonsville.
Nora is survived by a daughter, Maria Flores of Riverdale, Md.; two grandsons, Miguel Machado and Jason Reyes; her friend and former husband, Karl Sovik and his wife Gail Sovik; an aunt, Eleanor Hummel; two nieces, Desiree and Brittany Corwin; a nephew, Erik Corwin; five cousins, Eric Hummel, Earl Hummel, Eloise Shanley, Marsha Kauffman, and Suellen Gabriel; and a lifelong devoted friend Kris Sovik.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at The Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eloise Shanley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lebanon Lutheran Church Cemetery in Kanesholm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave., Bradford, PA  16701.
