Norman S. Boschert

Norman S. Boschert, 86, of 104 Whiterock Ave., died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born June 21, 1925, in Dagus Mines, he was the son of Florence Weidow Mandilas. On Oct. 31, 1953, in Johnsonburg, he married June E. Bryington who preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 2011.
Mr. Boschert was a veteran of World War II serving in the 6th Army in the Philippines with the Bushmasters and the Alamo Scouts. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
He had worked at Hanley Brick Company for many years and later for Affiliated Industries from which he retired.
Surviving are a daughter, Peg (Joe) Rolick of Kane; two sons, Brian (Diane) Boschert of Russell and Rod (Jackie) Boschert of Kane; four grandchildren, Tom (Tessa) Boschert and Tami (Tom) Ross, all of Kane, and Nick Boschert and Veronica (Scott) Lundmark, all of Russell; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sally Mandilas of Kane.
In addition to his wife, June Boschert and his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore Boschert.
Friends will be received on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where funeral services will follow with the Rev. David Pflieger, Chaplain of the Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
