Parking spaces to be cut in winter

These parking spaces on the south side of Greeves Street in Kane will be eliminated between Oct. 15 and April 15, according to action taken last week by the Kane Borough Council. Parking will be banned on the south side of Greeves Street between the intersection of Fraley Street at the traffic light to Summit Drive adjacent to the Kane Motel. The borough Streets Department will post signs to remind motorists not to park in this section of Greeves Street between Oct. 15 and April 15. Council also acted to ban parking on the north side of Biddle Street between Edgar James Street and the borough line near the Kaneview Motel. This ban will be from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily between Oct. 15 and April 15. The bans on parking are expected to facilitate snow-removal operations.
