Prizes awarded at Middle School Talent Show

Prizes totaling $85 were awarded Tuesday in the Kane Middle School Talent Show at the school auditorium.
Olivia Blackmore, a seventh-grader, won the first-place prize of $50.
She sang the song "Arms" by Christina Perri and received a standing ovation.
Kendall Watts, a sixth-grader, received $25 for second place. She performed on the piano.
Marcie Stanisch and Sadie Tunall, both seventh-graders, received the $10 third-place prize. Together they performed a dance routine.
Music teacher Matt McClard organized the Talent Show, which featured 10 acts. The acts included 20 students from the three grades at the Middle School.
McClard said 20 acts "auditioned" for the show, which ran for about 90 minutes.
Four Middle School teachers and three Middle School students served as judges for the competition.
