Raymond "Ray" Hillard

Raymond "Ray" Hillard, formerly of Kane, passed away early Thursday morning, June 7, 2012 in Palm Coast, Fla. 
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois and their son Darrel. He proudly served his country as a second lieuetant in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Hillard retired from the timber management division of the U.S. Forest Service before moving to Florida to spend time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and bird watching during his free time. 
Ray always appreciated the true beauty of nature and spent as much time as possible outdoors. Memorial contributions can be made to the Arbor Day Foundation or your local Humane Society.
