Richard Dale Peterson

Richard Dale Peterson, 79, of 1 Chestnut St., Mt. Jewett, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at his residence.
Born Dec. 23, 1931, in Kane, he was a son of Carl and Alberta Field Peterson. On Sept. 20, 1958, in Mt. Jewett, he married Patricia Cesario who survives.
Previously, he had been employed by Howe’s Leather in Mt. Jewett.
Mr. Peterson was a charter member of the Mt. Jewett Sportsman’s Club where he had served as treasurer in the past. He was also a member of the Mt. Jewett VFW Post 6347 and Mt.Jewett American Legion Post 574 and was a hunter safety instructor for forty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Pat, are his brother, Roger “Bill” Peterson of Mt. Jewett; a son-in-law, John Keesee of Mt. Jewett;  four sisters-in-law, Josephine Peterson of Kane, Audrey(Ray) Troutman of Mt. Jewett, Kim(Paul) Causer of Hazel Hurst and Beverly McDowell of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a brother-in-law, George Cesario of Gresham, Ore.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a daughter, Victoria Keesee; his brother, Carroll Peterson; and a sister-in-law, Mary McClelland.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett on Monday from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service, with Kris Graham presiding, will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Bridgeview Cemetery.
