Robert F. (Bob) Corrigan

Robert F. (Bob) Corrigan, age 75, of Monticello, Ind., formerly of Kane, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at 7:05 a.m. at the White Oak Health Campus of Monticello, Ind.
He was born Saturday, Feb. 13, 1937 in Vestaburg, son of John and Anna (Kubicar) Corrigan.
He married Ruth Ann Sites in Lafayette, Ind. She died March 24, 1964. Then on Oct. 31, 1964, in Kane, he married Louise Novosel. She survives.
Robert "Bob" and his wife, Louise, have lived in the Monticello, Ind. community for the last several years, coming from Kane. He graduated from Indiana University with a BS, MA, and EdD. Bob was an "I Man" football player while attending Indiana University. He was an administrator for the Veterans Administration. Bob was the Director of Continuing Education for Health Professionals for 20 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello, Ind., Indiana University Alumnus of Indiana University of Bloomington, Ind., and the Kane Fish and Game Club in Kane. Bob went on missionary trips to Honduras and twice to KICY Christian Radio in Nome, Alaska.
He is survived his wife, Louise Corrigan of Monticello, Ind.; five children, Susan (Rick) Kohl of Battle Creek, Mich., Robert (Jen) Corrigan of Bad Axe, Mich., Janet (Joe) Coffing of Monticello, Ind., Jeffrey (Summar) Corrigan of Sheboygan, Wis., and Brian (Cheryl) Corrigan of Wixom, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, Matt and Anna Kohl of Battle Creek, Mich., Dann (Callie) Corrigan of Lynchburg, Va., Chelsea Corrigan of Ithaca, Mich., Shelby Corrigan of Kalamazoo, Mich., Jarred and Mitchell Coffing of Monticello, Ind., Janan, Nedda, Nabeal Corrigan of Sheboygan, Wis., and Nicole and Colleen Corrigan of Wixom, Mich.; one great-granddaughter, Teagan Corrigan of Lynchburg, Va.; three brothers, John (Olga) Corrigan of Cleveland, Ohio, Ed (Sue) Corrigan of Warren, Ohio, and Dan (Vicki) Corrigan of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one sister, Joyce (Ken) Stuart of DuBois; and best friends Mike Costello of Richmond, Va. and Tom Dorcey of Farwell, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Ruth Ann (Sites) Corrigan.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Ind., and 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.
The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at 12 p.m. at the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 543 S. Main St., Monticello, Ind. 47960 with Father Gerald Borawski of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Burial arrangements are private for the family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Ind. 47960.
