Ruth J. Parker, age 83, of Olean Rd., Chaffee, died Saturday March 24, 2012 in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y.
She was born March 30, 1928 in Dahoga, a daughter of the late Charles G. and Agnes C. (nee Larson) Johnson. She was a homemaker and member of Hope Lutheran Church, Arcade, N.Y. She enjoyed knitting and loved the time spent with her family.
Her husband Earl F. Parker whom she married Aug. 6, 1949 in Buffalo died in 1988.
She is survived by three sons: Earl (Deborah) Parker of Wildwood, Fla.; Howard (Debra) Parker of Utica, N.Y.; Terry Parker of Chaffee, N.Y.; a daughter, Linda (David) Dawson of Holland, N.Y.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barbara Johnson of Abilene, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons Francis and Robert Parker; brothers Charles Johnson, Curtis Johnson, William Johnson and Clifford Olund; and sisters Goldie Wickwire and Anna Heckman.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 27 from 4-7 p.m. at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, N.Y. Services will be held Wednesday March 28 at 11 a.m. in the McKean Memorial Park Chapel, 85 Boylston St., Bradford, PA.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
