Sandy P. Cecchetti

Sandy P. Cecchetti, 81, of 90 Reigel Rd., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Nov. 10, 1929, in James City, he was a son of Albert and Amelia Seri Cecchetti. On Aug. 23, 1952, in Kane, he married Winnie Kraft who survives.
Mr. Cecchetti served in the Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He was a graduate of Kane High School class of 1947 and a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and all outdoor sports.
Until his retirement in 1993, he was employed as an auto transporter for Anchor Motor Freights.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five children, Rick (Christine) Cecchetti of Granthem, N.H., William (Kimberly) Cecchetti, John Cecchetti and James (Missy) Cecchetti, all of Kane, and Theresa (Dan) Lutz of Orrville, Ohio; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Cecchetti of Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence Cecchetti.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and at the St. Callistus gathering space on Friday from 10-11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Entombment and committal services will be held at St. Callistus Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Callistus Building Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
