School staff urged to reach out to children

Photo by Ted Lutz – Dr. Maryann Anderson, the superintendent of the Kane Area School District, says several steps have been taken to address school security issues. She said the steps were taken before Friday's massacre at an elementary school in Connecticut.

Staff members in the Kane Area School District are urged to "reach out to all of our students" and make sure they know "there is more good in this world than evil."
