Several criminal cases have been filed in Kane District Court.
Information on the following cases is from official documents filed with the court:
*Scott Tyler Fiero, 22, of 120 N. Fraley St., Kane, is charged with possession of marijuana for personal use, drug paraphernalia (glass smoking device), driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs, careless driving, unsafe movement when entering traffic, operating a vehicle with a cracked windshield, failure to wear a seat belt and various other vehicle code infractions.
State Police Trooper Matthew Petrof placed the charges.
The defendant was operating a silver four-door Ford Fusion at Haines Street Extension and Route 6 in Kane. Fiero is accusing of unsafely entering a traffic lane from a parked position on Haines Street Extension.
*Keith Robert Morrison, 27, of 7031 Route 6, Kane, is charged with DUI (alcohol).
State Police Trooper Ted Race placed the charges as an off-duty officer.
Morrison reportedly was driving west on Route 6 near the United Parcel Service (UPS) building in a gray 2012 Dodge Ram van without headlights.
"I had to drive off the roadway to avoid a collision," police said in the court document.
The defendant also is charged with failure to drive on the right half of the road, reckless driving and failure to wear a seat belt.
*Beth A. Anderson, 49, of 410 Dawson St., Kane, is charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Kane Borough Police Officer Heath Boyer placed the charges.
The defendant allegedly continued to "yell, scream and act in a violent and tumultuous way after being asked, requested and warned to calm down and to lower her voice," court documents show.
Anderson allegedly "ran into her home and would not allow me to handcuff her for my safety," according to court records.
*Shannon Larue LaFleur, 34, of 319 Main St., Hazel Hurst, and Jason Everett Smith, 38, of Smethport are charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
State Police Trooper Daniel Moore placed the charges after an incident on Main Street in Hazel Hurst.
The defendants allegedly were making "unreasonable noise" by playing music at a campfire between houses at 3:45 a.m. Independence Day.
*Justin P.E. Cornelius, 26, of 17 McClelland Ave., Mt. Jewett, is charged with several counts of sexual misconduct involving a girl who was 14 years old at the time.
