Kane Elementary School students in the Learning Support, Emotional Support and Life Skills Support classes attended an awards picnic recently in Evergreen Park. Ron Housler cooked hot dogs for the students, and teachers and aides brought various other treats. Each student was recognized for an achievement earned during the school year and given a certificate. The group includes, left to right, front row: Jacob Walker, Ashley Gradl (speech therapist), Travis Walker, Morgan Slater and Raven Ahearn; back: Gary Ziegler, a school board member who stopped by to visit with the students.
