Steven S. Jones

Stephen S. Jones, 42, of 6266 Rte 321 south of Kane, died early Monday morning as a result of injuries sustained in a well drilling accident.
He was born on July 13, 1968 in Kane the son of Thomas Jones and the late Martha (Dalton) Jones.
Steve was a graduate of the Kane Area High School class of 1986 and was employed as a Service Rig Foreman for Howard Drilling in Mt. Jewett. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. # 329 in Kane and the Kane Fish and Game Club.
In addition to his father he is survived by a step-mother, Janice Jones of Kane; three brothers, Thomas M. Jones and his wife Barb of Scandia, David T. Jones and his wife Brianna of Kane, and John E. Paul and his wife Marcy of Irwin; one sister, Lanette M Hadfield and her husband Keith of Kane; his girlfriend Sheri Scholl and her son Zach and many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha (Dalton) Jones.
Friends may call at the Cummings Funeral Home on Wednesday (today) from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Kane with the Rev. William R. LaVelle Jr., pastor, officiating.
