Students win prizes for SFA homework

Ted Lutz These students at the Kane Elementary School have won prizes for completing their "read and respond" homework under the school's "Success For All" (SFA) reading program. The students include, left to right: Kayin Bard, kindergarten; Merry Peterson, first grade; Maggie Johnson, second grade; and Max Bizzak, third grade. Missing from the photo are prize-winners Douglas Graves, fourth grade; and Jeannine Beane, fifth grade. When students complete their SFA homework, they receive a ticket for a chance to win a prize. This month's rewards are gift certificates from Pepe's Pizzeria of Kane.
