Susan Lynn Rose Lundberg
Susan Lynn Rose Lundberg, age 59, of 111 Jackson Ave., Warren, died on Thursday Jan. 3, 2013 at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice Residence in Warren. Sue displayed tremendous strength and courage as she fought cancer over the last year, inspiring people she touched every day. Born on July 20, 1953 in Kane, Sue was the daughter of Norman and Marilyn (Jones) Rose.Sue graduated from Kane Area Senior High in 1971 and married her high school sweetheart Patrick (Butch) Lundberg, on April 20, 1974. She was a fun loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, neighbor and true friend to many and her quick wit and kind spirit will be remembered fondly by those who held her dear.Sue became a Customer Service representative for Blair Corporation in Warren after her children were of school age.She loved traveling with her husband and children. In recent years she and Butch made a cross country trip to Oregon and Washington State that was a highlight of her life. At home she kept busy year round, making holiday gifts for others, especially handcrafted quilts, and decorations. Until becoming ill, Sue was active in the United Methodist Church, and for many years volunteered with the after-school LOGOS program for children. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Rose; a niece, Sophie Rose; and two nephews, Brian McQueen and Michael Dunn. Surviving are her husband Butch; her mother, Marilyn Rose of Kane; a daughter, Sarah (Wesley) Johns in Puyallup, Wash.; a son, Landon (Yolanda) in Fuquar-Varina, N.C.; and grandchildren Liam, Katie, Maggie, and Lucas of Puyallup. Also surviving are sisters Rebecca (Dennis) Harris of Kane, Anita (JD) Marcoline of Erie, Barbara Ackley (fiancé Henry Dahl) of Warren; and brothers Martin (Carol) Rose, Lake Norman, N.C., and Edward (Cheryl) Rose of Medford, Ore.; and her many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless caring friends.Friends will be received at Peterson Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E, Warren, on Monday, Jan. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m., and in the Dunham Parlors at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St., Warren, for one hour prior to a funeral to be held there at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Sterling, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
