Swedish Festival begins Friday

Ted Lutz A banner across Main Street (Route 6) in Mt. Jewett reminds area residents that the annual Swedish Festival begins Friday and runs through Sunday. "Simply Swedish" is the theme for this year's festival. The parade is set for 5 p.m. Saturday on Main Street. The fireworks display is at 9:30 p.m. Saturday and can be viewed from Center Street-- the main site for festival activities.
