Thomas E. Cunningham, 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Kane
Born April 4, 1926, in Russell City, he was a son of the late Hearl and Ruth Bushley Cunningham. On April 29, 1978, in Sharon, he married Margaret Himes who survives.
Mr. Cunningham was employed by PennDOT, retiring in 1980. He had belonged to the Kane Country Club and was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge #130 and served as a past governor.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Karen Croyle of Corry; five stepchildren, Lyle Himes of Bradford, Gene Himes of Hazel Hurst, Randy Himes of Hazel Hurst, Cathy Paulson of Mt. Jewett, and Brenda O. Gilligan of Lantz Corners; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a niece, Jamie Scott of Greenville.
He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a sister, Audrey Witherell.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
