This is the former Kane Handle site now owned by Shedio Logging and Lumber of Slippery Rock. Shedio, which purchased the vacated plant in 2006, is seeking tax relief for 2007 when the property still carried an assessment of $495,800. The company has paid taxes on a revised assessment of $70,000. But the property may be subject to a September tax sale if the company fails to pay $14,780 in taxes for 2007.
