Members of the Pa. National Guard 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team Charlie Company are set to return to the Bradford Armory Sunday around 2 p.m. According to Lt. Pierce, stationed at the armory, two buses are expected to depart Fort Dix, N.J. at 7 a.m. Those planning to participate in the vehicle escort, which will gather at The Summit Manor Motel on Bootjack Hill in Ridgway, should be in place between 11 to 11:30 a.m. Their return route to the Bradford Armory has been changed as to what was formerly released. The buses will travel along I-80 taking the Penfield exit at state Route 153 and travel to U.S. 219. The route will continue north through Ridgway, Johnsonburg, Wilcox, Lantz Corners to Tacks Inn and state Route 59 to the entrance of the Bradford Regional Airport where the new Armory is located. Pierce noted staging will begin at noon at the Armory for interested family and community members. Upon arriving at the armory the 145 soldiers will participate in a 30-minute ceremony before leaving with their families. There will be seating for 300 at the armory.
