New warden named at federal prison |

LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP -- The federal Bureau of Prisons has selected Archie Longley, warden at the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton, S.D., as the new warden for the Federal Correctional Institution McKean (FCI-McKean) in Lafayette Township. Longley has over 27 years of experience in the criminal justice field, beginning with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando, Fla. where he served as a correctional officer. He began his career with the Bureau of Prisons at FPC Boron, Calif. in 1987 as a correctional officer. He has held positions of increased responsibility at the Federal Prison Camp, Seymour Johnson, N.C.; the Metropolitan Correctional Center, San Diego, Calif.; the Federal Detention Center, Miami, Fla.; the Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman, Fla.; the Federal Correctional Institution, Miami, Fla.; and the Federal Prison Camp, Eglin, Fla. Longley was an associate warden at the Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman, Fla. before being promoted to warden at the Federal Prison Camp Yankton. He will assume his new position on Jan. 31, 2010.
