  Anna M. Misulich, 89, of 20 Water Street, Ludlow, died on Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Kane Community Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born on May 12, 1920, in Ludlow, the daughter of Stephen and Katherine Patilla Straneva.
She married Andrew Misulich on June 29, 1940, in Sheffield, who preceded her in death in 1986.
She had worked at Morelli’s Sole Factory, the J.G. Curtis Leather Co. and at a glass factory, all in Ludlow. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Sheffield, the Ludlow American Legion Auxiliary Post 489, where she was president and poppy chairperson for 17 years; belonged to Ludlow’s Wildcat Park Assn., Crimewatch and the Ludlow Fellowship Group; was a Girl Scout leader and committee woman for 10 years, treasurer for 17 years of the Ludlow Fire Dept. Auxiliary; and was the first secretary of the Ludlow PTA. She was a volunteer at The Lutheran Home at Kane and for dinners at St. Paul’s Center. She enjoyed gardening and working in the outdoors.
She is survived by a daughter Kathleen “Kittie” Danielson of Mt. Jewett; two brothers, John Straneva of Ludlow and Edward Straneva of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Tony Sirianni, Missy Stear, Laura Swartwood and Bob Misulich, plus seven grandchildren. She helped raise a niece, nephew and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son Robert Misulich; brothers Joe and Stephan Straneva; and sisters Mary Nicholas and Rose Kashmer.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane today from 7 to 9 p.m., and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Sheffield. Interment will follow in St. Callistus Cemetery, Kane. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to the American Cancer Society.
