Approximately 91 Boy Scouts and leaders from Ridgway, Kersey, Saint Marys, Kane and Bradford celebrated the 10th year of the skiing merit badge at Kissing Bridge in Glenwood, New York on Dec. 27, 2007. Dr. David Johe and Derrick Goode have been instructors for this merit badge for the past 10 years. This year marked a milestone for this group, celebrating its 10th consecutive year and introducing approximately 1000 boys to the sport of skiing. Dr Johe and Derrick both very much enjoy introducing this sport to kids who may not otherwise have the opportunity. Plans are already underway for next year. They hope to continue this indefinitely.
