Mt. Jewett residents pack the Shur Save parking lot on East Main Street (Route 6) Saturday night for the borough's first community block party to raise money for the Mt. Jewett Charter Coalition, which intends to establish a charter school in Mt. Jewett. Funds were raised by selling food, much of which was donated by Shur Save with desserts being donated by individual citizens.
