A Kane woman will face a criminal charge of resisting arrest in McKean County Court.
Kane Police Officer Heath Boyer placed the charge against Skye Pennington Keyes, 25, following an alleged April 13 confrontation with her mother, Theresa Lindsay at their residence at 424 Park Ave. District Judge Michael Kennedy of Kane sent the case to county court following a preliminary hearing earlier this month. County Public Defender Dennis Luttenauer represented Keyes at the hearing. Assistant County District Attorney Ray Learn was the prosecutor. Keyes also was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly trying to “attack” her mother, court records show. Judge Kennedy dismissed these two charges due to a lack of evidence. Lindsay attended the hearing, but did not testify against her daughter, according to court information. Keyes is free on $2,500 unsecured bail. Judge Kennedy has modified a bail condition and will allow the defendant to have contact with her mother.
