KVFD responded to a fully involved structure fire at the Tom Carlson residence at 236 Haines St. at 3:10 a.m. on July 3. The house was a total loss. Cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Kane, Sheffield, Mt. Jewett, and Wilcox fire departments were on scene. Assisting at the fire were the Kane Ambulance service and the Kane Borough police department.

One firefighter was taken to the Kane Community Hospital by the Kane Ambulance.

KVFD was on scene until 7:20 a.m.
