Kane PSP report that on Sept. 1, on SR6, approximately one mile east of Kane, a 1995 Dodge Ram, with a flatbed trailer, operated by David Wahlberg, 60, of Kane, was traveling west and a 1996 Oldsmobile, operated by Dale Walker, 59, of Mt. Jewett, was traveling east on SR6.  For an unknown reason, the Dodge crossed the center line and the flatbed impacted the front of the Oldsmobile. The Oldsmobile then impacted the guide rail. Walker was entrapped and had to be mechanically extricated from the vehicle. Walker, who received serious injury, was transported by Kane EMS before being flown by helicopter to Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Jeremy Wertz, 20, of Mt. Jewett, a passenger in the Walker vehicle, also received injuries. Wahlberg and his passenger, Tyler Wahlberg, 18, of Kane, were not injured. The crash remains under active investigation.

As of Tuesday afternoon Walker was listed in serious condition according to a hospital spokesperson.
