Viola Elvira Peterson

Viola Elvira Peterson, 91, of 6 Pete Ln., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Dubois Regional Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1919, in Westville, she was a daughter of John and Anna Lundblad. On May 6, 1939, in Ridgway, she married Herbert Peterson who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Peterson was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Gloria (Ronald) Troutman of Honor, Mich. and Susan (Robert) Nase of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a son, Joel Peterson of Kane; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church with The Rev. David Pflieger officiating. Burial will be at Nebo Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Dubois Regional Medical Center.
