Violet D. Stenberg

Violet D. Stenberg, 83, of Ludlow, died on Saturday, Oct 16, 2010.
She was born on March 31, 1927 in Kane, the daughter of the late Dana and Alva Manross. On Jan. 29, 1949 at Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church, she married Irvin G. Stenberg who preceded her in death on May 21, 2008.
Mrs. Stenberg had been employed at the Holgate Toy Co., and New Process in Warren and was also a homemaker.
She was a member of Moriah Lutheran Church in Ludlow, the Ludlow American Legion Post 489 Aux. and the Wildcat Park Aux and enjoyed gardening in her free time.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving children, Carl Stenberg of Tiona, Alan Stenberg of Sheffield, Karen (Tim) Johnson of Mt. Jewett and Diane (Tom) Clark of Cherry Grove. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Johnson, Larraine Johnson and Margaret Bloomquist Kridler.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Costlow, pastor of Moriah Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
