Virginia Shall

Virginia Shall, 94, formerly of 410 N. Fraley St., died Friday (November 19, 2010) at the Lutheran Home at Kane where she resided.
Born Oct. 25, 1916, in St. Marys, she was a daughter of  the late Charles and Hilda Jesberger Gerber. In 1933, she married Foster Bean who preceded her in death and then, in 1976, she married Charles Shall who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Shall had been employed at Stackpole Corp. from which she retired in 1965. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter Pearl (Richard Sr.) Cherry of Johnsonburg; a brother Roy Gerber in California; a sister, Cathleen Carnes of New York City; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husbands and parents, by two sisters, Evelyn Zoghibe and Margery Austin; and a brother Floyd Gerber.
Friends will be received today (Monday) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the gathering space of St. Callistus Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
