Wetmore helps develop new school parking lot

August 27, 2012

Photo by Ted Lutz – A new parking area has been created in front of Kane High School. The stone and gravel parking lot appears to have spaces for 16 vehicles. The lot primarily is for visitors to the school.

Wetmore Township has helped the Kane Area School District develop a new parking lot off the traffic circle in front of the high school.
The new lot is ready for use today-- the start for classes in the school district.
The township helped with the project by "loaning" its street roller.
"This piece of equipment enabled the school district to complete the work on creating additional parking in the front lot of the Kane Senior High School," the district said in a letter of appreciation to the township.
"This machine helped the Kane Area School District's maintenance crew pack down rock and gravel, which is providing a nice compacted area to park."
