Wetmore supervisors to discuss roadwork leader

September 4, 2012

Will there be a designated leader for the Wetmore Township road crew?
This question may be answered Sept. 18 when the township Board of Supervisors meets with the township’s two-man road crew to discuss the issue.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Sept. 18 at the township building on Spring Street in East Kane. Steve Dyne, chairman of the three-member Board of Supervisors, said the meeting would be open to the public.
The township has been without a road superintendent since Dyne resigned last month. He had been overseeing the road crew on a voluntary basis since January. He handled the position without pay and never filed a claim for mileage.
In resigning from the post, Dyne in a letter said “I will not be able to fulfill the daily duties of roadmaster.”
