William R. Besecker

William R. Besecker, 92, of 130 Bayard St., Kane, died Saturday morning, May 26, 2012 at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born May 14, 1920, he was the son of Edward and Margaret Jackson Besecker. In March of 1945, he married Evelyn B. Tinson, who died in 2000.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Besecker served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and later worked at Kane Hardwood as a supervisor for 20 years.
He was a member of Kane Lodge #566 F&AM and was a lifetime member of McKean County Chapter #72 of the D.A.V.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Kearney, and a son, William J. Besecker, both of Kane; four grandchildren, Malinda Oakes, Scott Lydic, Kathy Besecker and Krista Taylor;  and eight great-grandchildren, Katie Danielson, Danielle Taylor, Jessica and Justin Taylor, Jasmine Lydic, Lauren and Drew Taylor and Abigail Oakes.
A graveside service will be held privately at Nebo Cemetery in Mt. Jewett with the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a church or charity of the donor's choice.
