CURWENSVILLE – For the second straight week, the Kane Wolves (2-3) played an undefeated AML South rival. For the second straight week, the Wolves fell behind early, fought back and played close for nearly four quarters only to come up short down the stretch. On Friday night at Curwensville’s Riverfront Stadium, the Wolves lost 36-20 to the Golden Tide (5-0) to drop to 2-3 on the season.
The Wolves trailed 15-0 less than 10 minutes into the game. Curwensville received the opening kick after the Wolves deferred to the second half. Starting their opening drive near midfield, the Golden Tide moved the ball down to the Kane 25-yard line on three rushes by Josh Greslick. On first down, quarterback Hunter McCracken threw a pass to Jordan Russell who scored to give the hosts the lead two minutes into the game. The extra point kick was good, and Kane trailed 7-0.
