Wolves pick up win over Clarion
Photo by Keith Reigel – Loren Kumher takes control over Clarion's Tommy Klawuhn early in the match. Kumher would pick up a much needed win with a pin in 3:36.
The Kane Wolves wrestling team picked up seven forfeits on the way to an easy 63-15 win over Clarion.
Darren Brown got things started for the Wolves with a good win over a tough little wrestler, Riley Gunter 13-2.
Then John Welch found himself in what was again the match of the night. Clarion's Jacob Troutman got a takedown and was able to ride that 2-0 lead to a hard fought victory.
"I need to get John to want to go more for the win and be the one to control the action," said Kane head coach Mike Swartwood. "I would rather see him lose 6-0 but be the aggressor than to lose 2-0 and wrestle a slow paced match."
Another nice match was Loren Kumher picking up a pin in 3:36 over Tommy Klawuhn.
