Wolves pin Cameron County for victory
Photo by Keith Reigel â€“ Mike Swartwood has Nick Stuckey in a cradle during their match last night in the wolves den. Stuckey was able to escape that but Swartwood would go on to pick up an impressive win 11-5.
The Kane Wolves wrestling team picked up where they left off from their biggest win of the year over Port Allegany.
Everyone was a key part of this win. With getting four forfeits the match was otherwise a good one to watch. The crowd was treated to some good matches.
Senior Mike Swartwood got things going for the Wolves as he picked up a nice win over a talented grappler in Nick Stuckey.
The last few matches of the evening played a big key in the team victory. Darren Brown, Will Hulings and Jamie Lingenfelter picked up pins to help secure the win.
In what was one of the best matches of the night, Tyler Blankenship had a slim 2-0 lead over Paul Etchepare until a move caught Blankenship off guard and he had to stop the match due to an injury default. The crowd was totally stunned and thinking and hoping for the best for Tyler. He received a huge round of applause as he was taken to the hospital for X-rays and for all safety precautions.
