Roy Bohn of Milesburg works on a wooden duck carving during the sixth annual Art in the Wilds Juried Fine Arts Show held Saturday and Sunday at Evergreen Park in Kane. Bohn first learned to carve in the Boy Scouts carving neckerchief slides. This developed into a lifelong hobby that merged with duck hunting and a desire to preserve the bird and memories in wood. His use of both traditional and modern tools allows him to achieve great detail and 30 years of collecting firsthand information about the subjects has led to full-size accurate in scale pieces with the correct color, posture and attitude.
