MT. JEWETT – John Hayduk begins work today as the council-picked successor to Mt. Jewett Maintenance Supervisor Rod Peterson.
Hayduk, 50, will take over as borough maintenance chief when Peterson retires in September. Due to vacation, Peterson is expected to leave the job in August.
Hayduk begins duties for the borough at $14 per hour. For now, he will be working eight hours a day for the borough.
At some point in the future, he will split duties between the borough and the Mt. Jewett Regional Sewer Authority.
