Florence A. Gezik

Florence A. Gezik, 89, of 251 Ohio Ave., James City, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 8, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Jan. 29, 1924, in East Kane, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Johanna Schmader Grolemund. On Nov. 22, 1947, in Kane, she married Emery J. Gezik who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gezik had worked at Houston Electronics, was later employed in housekeeping at the Kane Community Hospital and  finally had worked as a nurse's aide at the hospital. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are four sons, Joseph Gezik, Norman Gezik, Frederick Gezik and Michael Gezik, all of James City; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Glazebrook, of Burlington, N.J.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Friends and family may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Callistus Church, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
