Grants to aid in planting of trees in Kane

February 11, 2013

Photo by Ted Lutz – Tom Kase, a professional forester and member of the Kane Shade Tree Commission, said plans are being made to plant 150 new trees in Kane in time for the bicentennial next year. In a report to the Kane Borough Council, Kase praised New Growth Resources of Kane for donating its services to remove about 90 dead and dying trees in Evergreen Park.

The Kane Shade Tree Commission has been "challenged" to plant 150 new trees by next year-- the Kane bicentennial.
Two grants will help the commission meet this target.
