Highland to plot response to Seneca legal threat

Photo by Ted Lutz – A standing-room-only crowd of more than 30 jammed into the Highland Township municipal building Wednesday for a meeting of the Board of Supervisors. A main topic at the meeting is a threatened federal lawsuit by Seneca Resources against the township.

JAMES CITY – The Highland Township supervisors plans to meet with attorneys to map out a response to a threat of legal action by Seneca Resources.
In a letter, Seneca said it plans to file litigation in federal court to "invalidate" a Highland Township ordinance on the disposal of drilling wastewater in a proposed "injection" well near James City.
