General Kane chapel sustains water damage

Photo by Ted Lutz – A crew from Upstate New York is cleaning up major water damage inside the General Thomas Memorial Chapel on Chestnut Street. Debris from the cleanup is placed in this dumpster on Chestnut Street.

There is major water damage inside the historic General Thomas Kane Memorial Chapel at 30 Chestnut St. in the borough.
Vandals are blamed for turning off gas heat to the building. The lack of heat caused heating system water lines to freeze and rupture.
