Mary F. Walters

Mary F. Walters, 77, of  79 Stanton Brook Rd., Smethport, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her residence.
Born June 29, 1935, in Halton, she was a daughter of  the late Claude and Winifred Campbell Myers. On Oct. 8, 1955, she married Arthur C. Burt who preceded her in death. On Sept. 11, 1981, she married Howard "Joe" Walters who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walters, a homemaker, was a member of the Johnsonburg VFW, the  American Legion in Crosby, the Kane Eagles Auxiliary and the Wilcox Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Cherel (Junior) Rainey of Mt. Jewett and Sandra (Steve) Nelson of Kane; two sons, Brian (Jan) Burt and Guy (Laurie Moore) Burt, both of Smethport; two brothers, John S. (Susanne) Myers of Smethport and Stuart J. (Sally) Myers of Hazel Hurst; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents and her husbands, are a son, Wendell A. Burt; three brothers, Lawrence Greenawalt, Marion Greenawalt and Edwin Greenawalt; and three granddaughters, Stephanie, Artina and Merrie Rainey.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.
Memorial donations may be made to any veterans association or the Kane Eagles#307, 238 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735.
