George Lewis Hulings, Jr.

George Lewis Hulings, Jr., 74, of James City, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born Aug. 25, 1938, in James City, he was a son of the late George and Evelyn Confer Hulings. On Oct. 10, 1959, at the Church of God in James City, he married Barbara Bliss who survives.
George had been employed by Stackpole Carbon Co. in Kane and served in the National Guard.
He was baptized in faith at the First Baptist Church in Kane. As favorite pastimes, he enjoyed gardening and long walks in the woods with his faithful Yorkie, Sweetie Pie.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Barbara Hulings, are a son, Thomas (Theresa) Hulings of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters, Anita (Rick) Blanchard of Heavener, Okla., and Janis (James) Newpher Jr. of James City; five grandchildren, Benjamin (Crystal) Hulings of Givhans, S.C., Faith Hulings of Summerville, S.C., Jared (Michelle) Blazier of Kane, Brandon Newpher of St. College and Joshua Newpher of James City; four brothers, John Hulings of James City, Walter Hulings of Phoenix, Ariz., Donald Hulings of James City and Raymond Hulings of Pittsburgh; a sister, Anna Bailey of Chautauqua, N.Y.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula Johnson and Twila D. Hulings.
Private family services will be held at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc.
