Rams finish season with PIAA silver medal

March 23, 2013

Johnsonburg boys basketball finished a 30-3 season with a PIAA silver medal.

HERSHEY – Johnsonburg boys basketball's season did not end as sweet as the Rams would have hoped for.
But in the end, Johnsonburg made the District 12 champion Vaux Cougars work to earn their gold medals.
Vaux defeated Johnsonburg 83-63 in the PIAA Class A boys basketball championship game Friday afternoon at Giant Center.
"Right now, I know they're disappointed in not winning the championship game," Johnsonburg coach Bill Shuey said. "But I know that in time, they'll realize what they accomplished this year. I tried to impress upon them this was a major feat for an area, a bunch of kids that started kindergarten way back when. Just think about that. They'll see it and say 'Hey, you know it was a great season.'"
